Like Tumble-Weed,The Dead Buxus Planting was Removed. Up Dated and presented by BB

Here is a small part of one of our Fiddle Wood gardens, and they like this one are friendly to all types of wild life so we do not use insecticides that are a danger to our little friends that visit us all year round.

To the left at the bottom are the remains of dead Bux, that were killed off last year and this year where upon other buxus . We left them be just in case some might recover, but now we decided to remove them in a garden tidy up.

The 20 year old Bux Balls, of which their were many in our Fiddle Wood garden were killed by the             dreaded Moth Caterpillars that stripped them down to their finish.                                                            Across the St Faiths Rd, that runs heavily with all shorts of heavy traffic and zooming noisy cars, the large Bux tree's in the woodland of Old Catton, are  laced over in the cobweb of the caterpillars that will destroy them. All in all i guess in this wilderness of heavy thoughts even a moths caterpillar's must eat.

And so it was the work was about to start in the garden.
'Leverage against the brickwork with a garden fork should help to do the trick',i said.

The place being full of roots made  it very hard indeed, so in the end they were each yanked out by share brute force! But not mine. i have the brightest mind to do such laboured things, but no longer have a good healthy body to help in any working  practical way.

'Great job!', I declared.  And i meant it too.

Being optimistic it is only a little space so we realise that later we can replant with other evergreen plants that Moth, does not like. So having taken cuttings off other healthy shrubs already in our other small gardens. It really will not cost us even a 'penny' to re-plant our little boarder that helps lead the way into another tiny garden of delight and charm.  For now there will be a flower bed of biannual that will flower this year given us by a nice brother in our congregation.

It was a sad sight not viewing the wonderful Bux Balls peeking through from  the other garden,
but things happen and one must move on.

A few days later the bedding plants which are lazing in their large clay flowerpots began to show colour.

Whitch i found pretty cool.

Thank you for your visit,
May you all have a nice safe day.  BB

Gaining Hope Within the Bible. Written by Paul Howes

As I employ my one good typing finger once more,I bid you all most welcome here upon my spot of the Internet. Since the last time of my writing, much has happened, yes indeed it certainly has. Family things affecting many have moved on a few more paces, although Covid19,has been put upon a back burner, other stresses in life have replaced it. Probably the largest in my part of the world ( UK ) is the cost of living, and higher interest rates forcing housing costs therein sky high for all who have a fluchuating  mortgage rate,or others paying rent for their homes. Paying the bills and putting food upon the table is a great mental strain and anxiety for many, even for those who work daily as each day takes its turn to gain a decent living for some. The downward descent of the standard of living is a concern for many even if they have jobs.

Often has been the  case  that i have referred to the value of the Bible, and once more in that context an illustration Jesus gave in what is known world wide as ' The Sermon on the Mount'. ( Matthew chapter 5-7) Chapter 6 verses 25 to 32 describes how Jehovah God looks after the birds and flowers. Observing " Are you not worth more than they are?"We humans are of much higher value in our creators eyes. So why are so many world wide or here in the United Kingdom struggling to some extent? The reasons for which are explained in the first book contained in the Bible, where Adam and Eve failed to appreciate both the gift of life and its giver Jehovah God. Yes they rebelled! Throughout the other 65 books within the Bible we have recorded promises the means by which, The Almighty loving God of justice, will make it possible for all mankind born after that sad event, which includes all of us not missing out in life forever.

The only way to see the truth in my statement would be by giving the Bible a closer examination, this is what I and many more besides decided to do. The black print against the white of each page within will reveal understanding of those scriptures. For many the truth has set them free giving them fresh hope of a much better system of things to live in.  Whatever we personally have to go through in daily life the load is always lighter when we have hope!

A free Bible study aid 'Enjoy life Forever', is now available published by Jehovah's Witnesses , along with one to one assistance should you wish it. Just fill in the online request form on www.jw.org, Such good news is always free.

Stay safe,stay well.

Best regards to you all.  Paul Howes

1918 VOGUE presented by BB

The movement of gentle breeze and the dance of flower heads sway such a dreamy scene while all seemed to beckon come the new day and peaceful time ahead.

1918 and The Great War,the war to end all wars was coming to its close.

                                                          Flags upon the march home.

However like a dreaded game of struggle and strife it was only Half Time. One can ponder a thought upon such a strange thing in the hindsight of history. 1939 was the kick off date when fathers sons played to the tune of the flagging world empires again, and off they marched towards the lightning glare of the sun that finally ended it.

i gave up playing the recorder when i reached  F Sharp!
