The Lone Ranger Books, plus Another Curved Book Case. A Comic Style of Making Props for my Fantasy Library presented by BB

It was a sunny morning and it saw me finishing off another larger curved book shelf for the library.

As the day wore on i was busy making book props! No need to make paper-craft book cases if i cannot fill them with something.  i formulated a system that i will show now,and it concerned The Lone Ranger Comics of yesteryear. One of my favorite reads of my youth, although usually it was the Annuals that came my way year in year out.

With such a sun the shadows came in for free, so why waste it?

i trolled the internet for all sorts of great comics and these are just a few, where i took a slice of each front cover and added it between two covers thus making an open ended book cover that would fold around some paper strip's. Then they were all glued onto  paper card, and left to dry out before cutting each individual book off the sprue with a very sharp pointed blade, in my craft knife that is working overtime these days and nights too.  And each little prop book settled down into my empty yogurt pot which tends to get to reaching over filling point in no time at all.

A water mark above i will explain a little way to solve this picture collecting problem. Here in this case the books will be so tiny i doubt if anyone would notice it anyway.

i use the smaller strip of pictures in way of repetition to create strips of books of those i wish to print out,

The backing board will be quite curvy indeed and after using thick pva glue it will soon stick tight into place after a few minutes, as if it has been sleeping there since the done and dusted times of The Great War.

A great project to keep one busy as each day with its  wayward  climbs pass away.

Now it is the case that some pictures bear a water mark, but by searching by way of google you can and will find the same picture but without those darn water marks stamped onto them. So they can then be copied.

The inner toilet roll i used again for the backing as it comes in sort of free, but of course not without cost.

Where would the world be without toilet paper? Right up the swanny as the old boys of my youth would often say.

Above the chaos theory shot, it shows the rough and tumble of other books i printed off,but this is an illustration only to show that there is allowance for lots of loose individual books to be slotted in. Yes loose, for this is a game i devised for little hands and finger to pass perhaps a stormy rainy day inside their own home just having lots of patient fun without the need to get annoyed or over anxious!

i enhanced the colours of these old things just to  present them as they once looked like back in the day.

As they get smaller it is just a matter of printing out the sizes i need.

These shelving units of which there are to be many, will be painted and varnished, and the way i paint they will look very soiled lumpy and aged indeed.

And so it is i can print out sheets of books for the fantasy library

imagine a young child looking up at all those books, perhaps like you yourself for the very first time?

Well thanks for stopping by,you are always welcome.  BB
