OPEN BOOK COVERS PRODUCED FROM BUCK JONES COMICS ......... directed and presented by BB

As i am now well and truely  soft foot shuffling my way through my 74 th year of age wearing surgical rubber clogs,in preperation of better days to come, i have maybe far to much to do in each of my days as they gradually unfold from the 'BEANO' calendar page. So i try and do a little of that which i have need to do. Well at least echieve a few steps nearer to a combination of display where the camera can come into artisan play.

Here i show the make up of open book covers for Sir Percy's Library,a place where authors dreams whisper  in the near silence of all those that might end up a reading them.

All the front comic covers were highlighted to regain the colours from the 1940's  1950's and 1960's when they were on open display in the toyshops.

Sold at Tenpence which was old English Coin.

A good action packed cover picture deserves preserving in some way.

The tricky center piece took me quite a while to figure out how best to proceed.

But i got there in a topsy turvy end.

It is not a complicated system to do,but does require lots of time and the effort on a pc and good printer.

This one priced at a silver shilling in old English coin.
In the early 1960's if i could earn enough money running errands at 3d a time during the week,i'd buy a comic and drawing pad and while away the hours just copying the pictures by way of thoughtful use of pencil and paper.

One shilling and twopence ... pronounced One and Tup'ence

        Eight pence

The first issue priced at sixpence took on the famous type pose of the silent movie posters.

There are a few more old type comic books to re-shoot,but that will be presented a little later.

                                                                          12 out of 18

Coming  Soon Red Ryder

Well my friends that's it for now.
Thank you all for taking time out to view.  BB
